I would like to know some specific things about this place. First of all,
Where is it in California? North, South, East or West and how far away is it?
Ms. Pickens told me that you will have to wear a special costume. Can you describe what they’re like and why you’ll be wearing them? There are some photos you can look at on the above link. Take a look.
Finally, what do you plan to do and learn while you are? It sounds like a cool place, but I’ve no idea about what they do in this park.
SO after you check out the website, post on the blog a paragraph or two about what you found

I never would even guess that Fort Ross would'nt have survived for as long as it did without it's vital trades to Russian Outposts in Alaska.it was used as a food supply for the outposts in Alaska and also traded Otter skins for all different types of supplies. I think going there and looking at the sea otters and old cannons will be very exciting. Fort Ross was really big, but only held 25 russians and 80 native Alaskans!

The girls wore long skirts to their ankles. I think it's because it was illegal to show your legs. The men wore plain white long sleeve shirts and pants. Usually at least. They weren't too fancy. More casual.

The girls wear hats with a string so that they could tie it on their necks.The girls also wears somtimes dresses or skirts and a shirt.like blue,red and I think thats it.well I think that is it.

I have found out great things about Fort Ross. This place is in California. Ivan Alexandrioch Kuskov constructed the fort. The fort was established in 1812. The Russian American Company established the fort. Alaska was controlled by Russia before it became an American state.

I do not know where it is. The boys wear dark pants, loose, white shirts, and boots. The girls wear long, plain dresses, and bonnets. I will get up in the middle of the night for night watch. I hope I have a good time.

Fort Ross has many diffrent oufits. Boys wear mostly like salor oufits. They wear hats and have one wepon in all the pictures. The girls wear long white skirts. Little bandanas on they're heads.

Ft. Ross is near Mendisino. Some of their costumes make them look like real militia frpm back then. That's what I hope to be when I get there.But I don't want to take watch!I hope we don't have da's.I want to go.

Its in Jenner which is north from San Francisco. I like some of the coustumes because they go hunt. The other coustumes were ok but not as fun.

The girls at fort ross wear long bown or white dresses. But the boys just wear puffy jackets/shirts and blue or black pants.but I dont know where it is.

Girls will wear usually bandanas over their heads, but they can also
wear straw hatswith a strap to hold it on. Boys can wear manskirts
and straw hats. Their hats can be a little weird, like some kind of bird beak hats. They weren't so fancy. The food can be trout, straight from the water. There is a big pot, where we make soup and stuff like that. Fort Ross sounds like so much fun!

At Fort Ross,men ware long shirts with a belt around their waste that goes over the long shirt. Women ware loose shirts that are colorssuch as white, dark blue, gray, and olive green. At Fort Ross, you can be in the militia, (if you do that you guard the fort all day long). You can also be a gardener, a cook, an artisn, or a hunter. mink (Madalena)

People at Fort Ross wore interesting clothes.The girls wore long dresses and skirts.The boys wore big white puffy shirts and brown pants.I'm going to were a skirt my Grandma made for my bithday, but I don't know what shirt I'm going to were.I'm not sure where it is.

I think that Fort Ross is close by mendecino.The costumes are like the pilgrams,and the reason why we have to wear costumes is so that we can have the same experience as they did.I really look forward to going to fort ross.

The clothes they wear are kind of bleak with colorful head scarves.The girls wearlong skirts with long baggy shirts. The boys wear long baggy shirts and trousers.The jobs that we are going to be assind are hunting ,gardening,cooking,hunting,ect.

This place looks cool and historical.I want to be a militia.I want to carry real muskets.I know they would be realy heavy but I still want to do it.

Fort Ross looks very cool.It's by menisino .I might be an indan. The indan coustumes look cool, dresses down to ancles. And head things it look cool Angle (Andee)
The clothes they wear doesn`t seem to protect them from the cold.But, Fort Ross sure looks like fun.A surprise was they have animals!Baby animals, cute little baby animals.I dont know why we can`t use normal clothes but Fort Ross is going to be fun.
