and explore the site, thinking about the questions below.

1. How was daily life different for the Native Americans and the Europeans? In your opinion which group was better able to survive? Tell why.

2.Describe the journey from Europe to North America. Why was it difficult and dangerous?

3. Describe the Thanksgiving dinner. Tell who came and what they ate. If you were invited to that meal, which group would you represent and what would you bring to share?

Fort Ross Field Trip

Hey Kids,

So your teacher told me you will make a two day overnight trip to
Place called Fort Ross State Park. I don’t know much about it but perhaps we can get some information and then you can write me back on what you find. Below is the URL

I would like to know some specific things about this place. First of all,
Where is it in California? North, South, East or West and how far away is it?

Ms. Pickens told me that you will have to wear a special costume. Can you describe what they’re like and why you’ll be wearing them? There are some photos you can look at on the above link. Take a look.

Finally, what do you plan to do and learn while you are? It sounds like a cool place, but I’ve no idea about what they do in this park.
